Drug & Alcohol Policy

Autism Dad United Global

Drug and Alcohol Policy

1. Purpose:
Autism Dad United Global promotes safety, community, and an inclusive environment.
That is why it is important to have a clear policy regarding alcohol, drugs, and other intoxicating substances in connection with the association’s activities.

The purpose is to:

  • Create a safe and professional environment in all contexts
  • Prevent risks related to alcohol and drugs
  • Promote health, care, and responsibility

2. Scope:
This policy applies to everyone representing the association: board members, volunteers, leaders, and other engaged individuals – both in physical and digital activities.

3. Alcohol and Drugs:
It is not permitted to use alcohol, drugs, or be under the influence during association meetings, digital gatherings, lectures, or in assignments where one represents Autism Dad United Global.

This also applies to prescription medications if they affect judgment, presence, or functioning within the activities.

4. Exceptions:
At private gatherings not connected to the association’s official activities, the association does not enforce a policy, as long as one does not publicly represent the organization.

At larger events (e.g., dinners following training/lectures) where alcohol is served, the invitation must clearly state this and there must be a clear separation between the association’s activities and the social context.

5. Reactions to Violations:
Anyone violating the policy may be temporarily suspended from the association’s activities.

In cases of serious or repeated violations, the individual may be excluded in accordance with the statutes.

The board decides on actions based on dialogue and documentation.

6. Preventive Work:
All leaders and volunteers are informed about the policy during their introduction.

We openly discuss the importance of safety, responsibility, and sober commitment.

If anyone struggles with addiction, we support them in finding help through external organizations, such as addiction clinics or helplines.
