Fundraising Policy

This policy has been adopted by the board and will be reviewed at least every two years.
The purpose is to ensure an ethical, transparent, and respectful collection of donations and support.

1. Purpose of Donations:
All fundraising must have clearly defined purposes linked to the association’s mission: to strengthen fathers of children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), provide helplines, mentorship, training, and materials.

2. Core Values in Fundraising

  • The donor is at the center – it is their wishes and needs that guide fundraising.
  • No donation requests are directed toward individuals who are in primary contact with the association’s support services.
  • Donors are treated with respect, empathy, and humility – without pressure or coercion.
  • Quick response – all inquiries are answered within a reasonable time (for example, within 48 hours).
  • Anonymity and integrity are respected – personal data is handled in accordance with GDPR.

3. Handling and Refunds:
Donations are refunded generously if the donor regrets their contribution, proportionate to the time that has passed and based on a reasonable assessment. Retroactive approval may be granted if the case is deemed appropriate.

4. Allocation and Transparency:
All donations must be clearly reported with information about the intended purpose. At least 75% of collected funds must go directly to the purpose – no more than 25% may be used for administration and fundraising costs.

5. Communication and Marketing:
All external communication must be accurate, factual, and respectful. Images and texts must not exploit recipients or dramatize situations. Donors must always receive thanks and feedback within a reasonable time.

6. Reporting and Accountability:
The board is responsible for submitting a comprehensive report to the annual meeting regarding collected funds, their use, and relation to the budget. Donors must be able to access reporting via the annual report or the website.

7. Internal Control & Audit:
In cases of disputed or uncertain donations, the board decides on the handling. An internal auditor or appointed reviewer may inspect documentation if necessary. The policy is to be reviewed at least every two years.
