Procedures for Conflict of Interest & Feedback

The purpose of this procedure is to ensure that decisions within Autism Dad United are made without undue influence and with full transparency. The guidelines apply to all elected officials, employees, and volunteers.

1. What is conflict of interest?
Conflict of interest arises when a person risks being influenced by their own interests in a decision or assignment. This may involve:

  • Personal financial interests
  • Close relationships (family, friends, partner)
  • Personal interests that may affect objectivity
  • Previous involvement in the organization or company concerned


2. How should conflict of interest be handled?

  • If you suspect you have a conflict of interest – inform the chairperson/board immediately.
  • You should refrain from participating in the decision or discussion.
  • The conflict of interest relationship should be documented in minutes.
  • In case of uncertainty, the board decides on conflict of interest assessment.


3. Feedback on delegation:
 Decisions made with support of delegation should be reported back to the board according to the delegation order. The feedback should occur:

  • At the next board meeting
  • In written form: who, what, when, why
  • In minutes or decision log


4. Confidentiality:
Information about conflict of interest, internal assessments, or feedback should be treated with confidentiality. Only those who need to access the information should have access to it.

5. Validity:
The procedure applies until further notice and is established by the board. Revision occurs when needed or annually together with other governing documents.
