Code of Conduct

Autism Dad United Globe

Policy Code of Conduct & Core Value

This code of conduct is established by the board and revised at least every other year. The code describes expectations and requirements for everyone who represents the association – board members, volunteers, conversation hosts, employees, and other representatives.

1. Scope:
Applies to all persons who represent Autism Dad United in official contexts or in contacts with external parties.

2. Core values:
We are founded on all people’s equal worth and the right to respect, inclusion, and dignified treatment – with special focus on fathers of children with autism and neurodevelopmental disorders. Our actions shall be characterized by empathy, humility, and responsiveness, with a respectful non-judgmental approach.

3. Our behavior:

  • We listen openly and without prejudice.
  • We express ourselves factually and respectfully, especially in external communication.
  • We protect people’s integrity – anonymity and caution regarding children and families is central.

4. Complaints & whistleblowing:
We have a clear and accessible routine for receiving complaints, both from the public and members. It is possible to report directly to the board or via anonymous function on our website. If you suspect that someone within the association has violated our values, code of conduct, or other guidelines – we encourage reporting without fear of retaliation. All matters are handled with discretion and respect. You can find more information in our Whistleblower Policy, which is available in the Governing Documents – Autism Dad United folder and on our website.

5. Confidentiality and integrity:
All sensitive information about our support persons, members, or collaboration partners is treated in accordance with GDPR and with high integrity protection. No private information is disclosed unintentionally.

6. Sanctions for violations:
In case of violations of the code, the chairperson or board is informed. Consequences may include warning, termination of volunteer assignment, or exclusion, depending on the seriousness of the matter.

7. Implementation:
Everyone who receives an assignment within the association is introduced to the code by the chairperson or designated introducer, who is responsible for ensuring it is understood and anchored.
